Situated in the centre of
Romania, VIROMET S.A. is one of the first range chemical companies in Romania,
with a long experience in this field.
Located 2 km away from the Victoria town, 100 km from Brasov and 60 km from
Sibiu, VIROMET S.A. has direct access to the international railways and roads. VIROMET SA became a jointstock
company in 1991 and was privatised in 2002, when InterAgro Group purchased the
majority stock.
The company has elaborated and
implemented an Integrated Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety
Management System based on ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 & OHSAS
18001:2004 regulations which meets the customers' expectations
and requirements and also controls the impact of the company's activities,
products and services on the environment. The AEROQ certificate held by VIROMET
represents its visiting card in terms of quality standards.
Thanks to
its wide range of products, VIROMET distinguishes itself on the domestic and
international markets as a chemical company that provides quality products for
the chemical and wood industries. In order to meet the requirements existing on
the market regarding the wood processing industry, VIROMET has updated its
technological processes for manufacturing resins used in the wood processing
industry, so that most of the resins comply with the E 1 formaldehyde emission
class.
VIROMET
is also involved in research and technological design activities that aim at
finding solutions for our specific technical problems. At the same time, our
specialists are constantly concerned with developing new products that should
meet the market demand and future trends.
VIROMET
owns a strong transportation infrastructure so that our goods can be easily
dispatched all over the country through the existing rail tank park.
